Its been a wet April and it looks like May will not be much better. We can’t seem to get beyond 60o with clouds and cold showers! I hope this is not going to be a repeat of last summer when it rained just about everyday and it never really got warm for a summer. The plantings last year suffered for it and if things don’t change here this month, I am afraid it won’t be much better this year
These are the three year peonies–planted them 3 years ago and this is the first year we have blooms ready to burst. I have no idea what color they will be! If they are white, I will be devastated. Soon and very soon if the sun would make an appearance!
Irises are going strong. These have established themselves nicely now and we are seeing more blooms. I love having fresh cut flowers in the house in summer.
Alright, back to sewing. Just need to finish my tea. Its as the Irish would call it–“A soft lovely day”–for quilting that is!
